Career Openings

Full-Stack Developer

Calling all tinkerers, experimenters and the just plain curious!

Two Fish Software has an immediate opening for a mid-level software developer to join our team.  This position is open to current students, those fresh out of school and those with a couple years of experience.  We are accepting full-time or part-time candidates.

We are more interested in finding a candidate with the right attitude than one who knows the ‘right’ programming language.  Two Fish wants to invest in you and is more than willing to train.  That said, an ideal candidate would have experience with any of the following:

  • Web development frameworks, (like Angular 2+, React, etc.)
  • Object-oriented languages, (like C++, C# or Java)
  • Android/iOS app development (native devlepment or Ionic/Cordova)
  • Relational databases
  • Using Git to manage source code

Members of the Two Fish team work on a variety of projects over the course of a year.  2019 will be an adventurous year!  In addition to maintaining software contracts with our customers, we will be launching a cloud-based warehouse management system for e-commerce businesses.  You can expect that, you’ll be a driving force to bring this to market.  (This thing is awful snazzy!  We’ll give you a demo during the first interview.)

Your responsibilities will likely include some of the following:

  • Being a major contributor to our new cloud-based developments. This includes our warehouse management suite and/or time tracking tool.
  • Spearheading the launch of a new website for one of our prominent customers.
  • Creating mobile apps for Android and/or iOS
  • Maintaining a current and complete list of customer issues and feature requests in our bug tracking system.
  • Triaging and troubleshooting of bugs, creating bug fixes and patches for existing products.
  • Regular maintenance of our servers, including file and database backups, OS updates, provisioning new servers.
  • Performing code reviews of others’ work and giving feedback. We love team members who give (and receive) great feedback!

Benefits include a flexible schedule, paid holidays and tuition assistance.
Pay will be between $20-40/hr, commensurate with ability and experience.

Front-End Developer/Designer

Do you get weirdly excited about pixel-perfect designs?  We need your help!

Two Fish Software has an immediate opening for a mid-level front-end developer/designer to join our team.  This position is open to current students, those fresh out of school and those with a couple years of experience.  We are accepting full-time or part-time candidates.

Please be ready to show off examples of your work.  This position will encompass design and development work, but will be almost exclusively front-end work.  It's probably a 50/50 split of design and development.

Two Fish Software is open to training, so candidates don't need to have experience in all of the following areas.  That said, an ideal candidate would have experience with most of the following:

  • Web development frameworks, (like Angular 2+, React, etc.)
  • Hybrid development frameworks (like Electron, Cordova, PhoneGap, etc.)
  • Web components (Material, Polymer, PrimeNG, etc.)
  • Wireframing, creating "napkin" sketches
  • Using Git to manage source code

  • Maintaining a current and complete list of customer issues and feature requests in our bug tracking system.
  • Triaging and troubleshooting of bugs, creating bug fixes and patches for existing products.
